Simply Bhutan Tour by Land
You will be received by our executive on arrival at Bagdogra Airport and then transfer to Phuentsholing – the Gateway of Bhutan by Road from India. It is a thriving commercial centre on the northern edge of the Indian Plains. On arrival, hotel check-in. Overnight stay in Phuentsholing.
On the second day, after breakfast, we will complete the immigration formalities, and then transfer to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan. On arrival, hotel check-in. In the evening, you can visit the Tashichho Dzong (Fortress of the Glorious Religion). Overnight stay in Thimphu.
On the 3rd day after having breakfast, we will visit Kuensel Phodrang (Buddha Statue), a place with a huge statue of Buddha; National Memorial Chorten (Monument) & Folk Heritage Museum. In the afternoon, visit Sangaygang View Point, Changangkha Monastery, Takin Preserve Centre (the national animal of Bhutan can be seen here). Overnight stay in Thimphu.
On the 4th day of the trip, after breakfast we will drive to Punakha / Wangdue. On the way, stop at Dochu-La-Pass (3150 mts.) to view the Himalayas. On arrival in Punakha (4298 ft.), hotel check-in. In the afternoon, visit Punakha Dzong – built in 1637 by Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal. Take a short and easy hike to visit the Chimi Lhakhang also known as “The Temple of Fertility.” Evening free for leisure. Overnight stay in Punakha / Wangdue.
After breakfast, drive to Paro. On the way stop at Lamperi to visit Royal Botanical Park. On arrival in Paro, hotel check-in. In the afternoon, visit Ta Dzong – National Museum with an excellent collection of arts, relics, religious thangkha, etc. Also visit, Rinpung Dzong – “fortress of the heap of jewels.” The dzong now serves as the administrative and judicial seat of Paro. Evening free for leisure. Overnight stay in Paro.
After breakfast, hike to the famous Taktsang Monastery also called “Tiger’s Nest Monastery” (2hrs hike from the base camp). Later visit Drukgyel Dzong. Overnight stay in Paro.
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to Phuentsholing. On arrival in Phuentsholing, hotel check-in. Overnight stay in Phuentsholing.
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and depart for New Jalpaiguri (NJP) Railway Station / IXB Airport (Bagdogra).
